The South Texas Waterways Advisory Committee (STWAC) presented a Shipboard Marine Firefighting Awareness Seminar hosted by the Port of Corpus Christi. Over 100 port community members and first responders attended the event, which included marine firefighting and rescue demonstrations by the crews of G&H Towing vessels, MARK E. KUEBLER and TED C. LITTON. Xavier F. Valverde, Sr., General Manager of G&H Towing Corpus Christi office, made the welcoming remarks as Chairperson of STWAC. Port Captain Mark McGinnis discussed the marine firefighting assistance provided during the Tule Lake Fire in 2020 and answered questions about G&H Towing tug capabilities regarding marine firefighting. #ghtowing #proudoftheteam #marine
